John 10:10 (NKJV) I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Zoe Life – Eternal Life How Do We Obtain the God Kind of Life? 1. Salvation through Jesus Christ The abundant life begins the moment we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. John 14:6 (NKJV) “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Salvation through Christ is the prerequisite for obtaining the God kind of life. 1 John 5:11-12 God has given us eternal life and this life is in his Son, Whoever has the Son has life, whoever has does not have the Son of God does not have life. Luke 12:15 (NKJV) “And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” Wealth can never substitute for our relationship with Christ. For Christ alone is the source of our satisfaction. 2. Commitment to the Lord The foundation for living this God Kind of life A. Commitment B. Consistent C. Accountability D. Responsibility a) Committing to the Lord is Seeking His Kingdom first Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” The only way our life is impactful, is, it that we live dependent on the Lord and independent from the world. 3. Embracing the Role of the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is our source of power, wisdom and revelation 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV) “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man. The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Romans 8:14-16 (NKJV) “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,” The apex of the abundant lift of is: To bring the Word of God to the Nations To become a disciple of Christ To become a true worshiper of God.
